Dhal

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Toor daal

  • 1/2 cup chopped dill

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • Jeera

  • Cumin

  • Hing

  • Turmeric

  • Salt

  • Tamarind paste

  • 1 tbsp ghee

Cooking Instructions

  • Pressure cook daal

  • Heat oil and add jeera, cumin and hing

  • When it starts to pop add turmeric and then dill

  • Cook for 3 minutes then add cooked daal

  • Add tamarind and salt to taste

  • Boil for 10 minutes

  • Heat a little ghee and add crushed garlic and top off to heated daal just before eating
