Ingredients
1 cup finely chopped onions.
2 Tbsp Besan (chana flour)
Oil, 1-2 Red Whole Chilies, Mustard seeds,
Hing, salt, Turmeric , red chilies powder.
ginger/green chilies (coarse ground)
Chopped garlic.(2 to 3)
Coriander and cumin powder.
Tomato Sauce. ( I use can) ½ can should be enough
Tamarind paste.
Pinch of Gud( Jaggery)
Preparation Instructions
In a pan, add oil, Sauté mustard seed, Hing,
Add onions, sauté until transparent. Lower the flame. Add ginger/chilies, add chopped garlic. Make sure garlic does not burn.
Now add Besan flour. Cook it on low flame and keep on stirring, so does not burn. As soon Besan turns the color. Add turmeric, salt, red chili powder(optional), Coriander/Cumin powder.
Now add the tomato sauce and ½ cup of water. Add Tamarind and Gud. If it is too thick, can add more water and cook it until you see oil on the side of the pot.
You can keep gravy as thick as you like. Hope you Enjoy it.
