Idli
Ingredients
3 cups parboiled rice
1 cup urad daal
1 cup poha
Preparation Instructions
Soak rice and daal separately for at least 4 hours
Soak Poha only for 10 minutes
Grind to pasty consistency
Keep in large dish in oven with light on
Batter should rise in 6-8 hours
Pour into idli plates and steam cook for 12 minutes
Coconut Chutney
Ingredients
1/2 cup coconut
3-4 chilies
1/4 cup cilantros chopped
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
Salt to taste
2 tbsp yogurt
Preparation Instructions
Grind together all ingredients and serve with idlis
