Ingredients:
2 cups moong daal soaked overnight or at least 7 hours
1 cup sugar
1 cup ghee
2 cups hot milk
2 tsp cardamom powder
1/8 cup Almonds
Pinch of saffron
Preparation Instructions:
Grind moong daal in a food processor without water. Consistency coarse.
In a non stick pot heat ghee. Add moong daal and cook on low heat till ghee separates and color is pinkish . Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
Then add milk, saffron and sugar. Cook till ghee separates. This halwa texture is grainy.
Serve hot. If it feels a bit dry add 1/4 cup milk.
